The Swedish Work and Mortality Database (HSIA/WMB)
The Swedish Work and Mortality Data Base (WMD) is an anonymous, temporary data base held at CHESS, created in 2003. The WMD was created to allow the study of how work, income and labour market position combine to influence health, disease and mortality.
From this we include individuals born 1930-1965 alive on Dec 31st 1990. Income data, together with data on unemployment and social assistance, from the so called Louise data base from each year 1991-2002 are included. Earlier data on country of birth, occupation, social class, housing and wealth are also included, as well as in-patient visits during the 1981-2003 period and any deaths during this period.
For more information about the WMD, please contact the principal investigator Denny Vågerö, at email@example.com.
