The network includes researchers and research students from Stockholm University, Karolinska Institutet, Lund University, Göteborg University, Umeå University as well as our research collaborators from the United Kingdom and Australia.

Within this initiative we aim to:

establish a research network for sharing expertise in methods for intergenerational and life course research on social mobility, its determinants and consequences;
address a number of frontline but common challenges in register-based, life course and intergenerational research on social mobility through both methodological innovations and adaptation of existing statistical methods;
encourage and expand research on health determinants and outcomes of social mobility within the Uppsala Birth Cohort Multigenerational Study and other large register based and epidemiological studies in Sweden, and in that way contribute to generating evidence for effective health equity interventions and policies;
stimulate exchange among statisticians, epidemiologists and public health scientists in epidemiological and register-based research in Sweden and internationally.
