Monica Shaker is a field worker at ‘Föreningen HEM’. This NGO was established in March 2014 to coordinate voluntary work assisting marginalised European immigrants during their stay in Sweden. In this talk, Monica will give an overview of the most pressing health issues for this population, including communicable diseases, reproductive health and the high cost of basic health care.

This event is part of the seminar series “Migration and health inequalities in Sweden” taking place at CHESS in the autumn of 2016.

The seminar will take place in room No 549 (CHESS Library) at CHESS, 5th floor, Sveavägen 160 (Sveaplan), on Wednesday 12 October at 1.30 pm.
