Welcome to CHESS and our seminar with Professor Irene Molina "Urban segregation and racialization – Who pays the social costs?"
Irene Molina is a professor of human geography, specialising in settlement and the built environment. She is head of the Institute for Housing and Urban Research and co-director of the Center for Studies on Racism at Uppsala University. Her research is about spaces of social injustice and intersectionality. Her most recent publication is ‘Pressure and violence: Housing renovation and displacement in Sweden’, in: Environment and Planning, (with Guy Baeten, Sara Westin and Emil Pull).
This event is part of the seminar series "Intersectionality and health" taking place at CHESS in the spring of 2017.
The seminar will take place in room No 549 (CHESS Library) at CHESS, 5th floor, Sveavägen 160 (Sveaplan), on Wednesday March 15 at 1.30 pm.
